2010 District Meeting Schedule

Executive Director Alec Hansen has begun his district meetings across the state of Montana. The Legislature will convene in six months to face a threatening collection of revenue and finance issues connected to the deep national recession and what appears to be a slow moving economic recovery.  The fiscal experts on the legislative staff are predicting Montana will be looking at a budget deficit in the area of $400 million.  In this situation, all programs and expenditures will be on the table and subject to adjustment.   

The District meetings are set up to give members an opportunity to offer comments and suggestions that will be the foundation of the policies and positions the League will stand behind next winter.  We encourage all League members to send someone to attend these meetings to assure their opinions are known and their interests are represented. 

Following is the schedule for Central and Western Montana. All members are welcome to attend any of the meetings.
