2008 Per Diem Rate

The federal standard mileage rate for 2008 is 50.5 cents per mile.

The federal standard mileage rate for 2007 was 48.5 cents per mile.

2008 Meals and Lodging Reimbursement

For travel within the state of Montana, lodging is reimbursed at the actual cost of lodging, not exceeding $35.00 per day, plus taxes on the allowable cost, and not to exceed the maximum standard federal rate per day for the location involved plus taxes.
The meal allowances are $5.00 for the morning meal, $6.00 for the midday meal and $12.00 for the evening meal.
