Resolution #2009-7 Property Reappraisal

Every seven years, property across Montana is reappraised by the Department of Revenue. Numerous bills will be introduced in the 2009 Legislature to delay or otherwise mitigate the effects of reappraisal through phase-in schedules, rate reductions and other adjustments.

Be it resolved that the League of Cities and Towns will monitor all bills dealing with property reappraisal and work to assure that the tax system continues to generate the revenues that are the foundation of local government budgets across the state.
